Teton Rock Climbs
Ground Up Press
Ground Up Press is a new publishing company created for the sole purpose of acting as the business side to producing and marketing Teton Rock Climbs. The name reflects the climbing ethic of starting from the ground, and not having any pre-placed gear or otherwise altering natural features, or even obstacles. The Ground Up Press is a channel in which creative energies manifest into physical form. This new company is in its infancy, with much more room to grow and things to learn.
Ground Up Press started with the catalyst of many peoples' suggestions and creative criticism regarding climbing guides. What has been done previously can always be made better, and thus the unique CD-ROM format of Teton Rock Climbs. This format allows more information to be more easily distributed and is hopefully more user-friendly than paper-bound books.
This ground up ethos may be broadened to include one's own journey with moving around obstacles as the fuel to learning lessons and honing skills. Good style and grace help to describe this ethic. As any job, task or communication can be hacked at until the goal is attained, good style embraces a certain natural flow around any obstacles, personal or external.
Ground Up Press will grow as new projects emerge. This publisher does not specialize in anything; any publication format in any subject is possible. Look for more publications from Ground Up Press in the future.
